We have made tremendous contributions in the Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights and Gender as one of our key thematic areas; in terms of both advocacy and service provision.

This has been achieved through sensitization meetings in various learning institutions, research, provision of sanitary towels to Adolescent Girls and Young Women, mass education through radio programmes/talk shows, and policy advocacy with the County Government (Legislators and the County Health Management Team).

In partnership with Women Deliver, in 2019 we implemented a policy advocacy project titled Sexual and Reproductive Health Commodity Access and Financing in Kisumu County.

Currently, in partnership with Women Deliver, we are implementing an advocacy project on SRHR, whose goal is to influence the Ministry of Health to adopt a gender responsive approach in the implementation of UHC for Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW) SRHR needs by 2025.

Inuka Success is also a member of the Kisumu County SRHR-UHC Alliance, an umbrella body that brings together all organizations in Kisumu County working on SRHR.

In the Alliance, Inuka is currently being funded by PAI (Population Action International) to implement a project whose aim is to increase visibility in the SRHR efforts made within the County.

Our advocacy programs cut across all our projects. We focus on advocating for positive and impactful policy around health, environment, gender, social accountability, climate change, county government budgets, good governance, and meaningful youth and women engagement in the government decision making process right from the community level.

We work in partnership with legislators, policy makers, community social justice centers and the civil society organization.

In our advocacy work we deploy the use of petitions, memorandum, policy briefs, press realization, social media campaigns, round table discussion with policy makers, case studies documentations, storytelling and use of performing art. Our advocacy in evidence informed as we value research on every advocacy action/agenda.
